SMALL STEPS DAY CARE - Child-focused Care Weekdays Term Time only
Welcome!

Small Steps offers flexible childcare for preschool children aged 2 to 5 years during term-time.  We also welcome children up to 8 years of age for occasional care, e.g. on school non-pupil days.  During the summer holidays we run a Holiday Club instead of our daily sessions.  Children are welcome for full days, morning or afternoon sessions, or shorter hours to suit you.

Small Steps aims to provide a nurturing, educational environment for the children in a quality small and homely setting.

Our Ethos
We recognise that each child has unique talents, learning styles and personalities. Our highly-qualified staff are committed to working within each child's comfort zone to ensure optimal social, emotional and educational results.

The children all sit down together for a home-cooked lunch (available for a small extra charge) from 12 to 12.30 pm.

Water is also available for the children to help themselves to throughout the day. Milk and pure fruit juices will be offered at Snack and Lunchtimes.

Outdoor Activities
We believe strongly in the health and educational benefits of outdoor play for children and encourage it whenever possible - with suitable clothing of course!

Our countryside location provides many opportunities for outside activities and our children enjoy walks across the fields, nature watching and observing seasonal farm work such as harvesting.  We look to incorporate outdoor activities into the day as often as we can.
